It's so interesting to learn about different schools in different places. I really have enjoyed listening to Heidi tell us about the Swiss schools...I'm trying to soak up as much information as possible!
I love the independence of the kids here. All of the children walk to and from school on their own. Whether it be by foot, bike, Razor scooter, public transportation, (even cable car!) the kids get to school on their own (on time!). It's adorable to see the little Kindergarteners in their orange safety vests and 1st graders in their yellow safety vests as they walk down the village streets and up the hill to class. Back home kids have "door-to-door service" either by their parents or by bus...something that isn't the case here.
